My only problem with the game is its length. The controls are solid, the music is rockin' and the gameplay is addictive. It's a classic platformer that will leave you wanting more. Despite its age it still feels brand new. X must hunt down Sigma, a maverick attempting to bring about human extinction. Mega Man X, our protagonist, is a Reploid Hunter.
These troublemaking Reploids are refered to as Mavericks. Humans and “Reploids”, sentient robots, live there in harmony and less than harmony. The plot of the game features a futuristic setting. The game was released in 1993, and has since been ported and remade on other platforms like Playstation 2, Gamecube, MS-DOS, Mobile Phones, Playstation Portable, and PC. The Mega Man X series is a spin-off of the popular Mega Man series. It holds the distinction of being the first Mega Man game for the SNES, as well as the first game in the Mega Man X series.
